10.00-11.30  C1 Reading & Use of English Skills – SUZY RATCLIFF, Cambridge Presenter

This session will explore the CEFR Can Do statements for Reading & Use of English Skills at C1 level as well as presenting activities & resources.that will help learners to achieve C1‐level reading and use of English. We will explore techniques and strategies that teachers can implement in their classrooms. The session will be interactive, encouraging participants to reflect on their own classroom context and practices and to actively engage in discussions and share ideas.

12:00 – 13:00 English Language Teaching with Artificial Intelligence  – MONTSE IRUN

This session explores how AI is reshaping the English classroom by shifting the focus towards learner autonomy, critical thinking, ethical awareness, and digital literacy. We will examine how students can work with AI rather than depend on it, learning to question outputs, recognise bias, evaluate information, and make informed language choices.

SUZY RATCLIFF

Suzy Ratcliff - Exams Owl

Suzy is a DELTA-qualified English teacher and teacher trainer. She has worked with learners and teachers in Catalunya for almost 10 years and is highly experienced in preparing students for official examinations, from Young Learners to C2 Proficiency, as well as being a Cambridge speaking examiner. She has also taught to a wide range of students in Italy, France and the UK, and now specialises in Business English for adults.

Montse Irun Speaker

Passionate about her work where she learns every day, Montse Irun Chavarria has a double facet as she combines teaching at the Joan Oró Secondary School in Lleida and the University of Lleida with a part-time service commission at the Direcció General d’Innovació, Recerca i Cultura Digital (Departament d’Educació i FP) to carry out permanent teacher training tasks. She is a trainer in various topics such as globalized and competency-based learning, assessment, project-based learning, integrated language and content learning, etc.
